Long awaited, now come true, 12 new analogis BLACK DIAMOND are available

The congregation of “BLACK DIAMOND disciples” has grown rapidly since the first needles appeared. A needle with “nude diamond” in the price range around 45€ is actually already a small sensation? Yes, there were and still are a few weak points in the production. It may not have been easy to prepare the newly purchased and incredibly expensive production machines for the black diamond. The stone has a different hardness and requires special grip techniques and programmes for the grinding machine, many tests have been carried out and programmes adapted. And even with very high-quality reflected-light microscopes, the light-absorbing diamond is harder to detect. Then there were the problems with the rubber. The former rubber manufacturer is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement and with the new rubbers there were also some difficulties.  The hole for the tube was drilled awkwardly, sometimes it did not fit well enough, so that the rubber (towards the plastic) did not stick well enough to prevent the tube from sliding. Here too, further development was necessary and many a customer was burdened with returns. During this time we opened every box of BLACK DIAMOND (and had to break the guarantee seal), checked it and put a sticker “MRSTYLUS DOUBLE CHECKED” on it. Meanwhile we receive the needles in blister packs or in unsealed boxes, so there is no seal to be seen and the sticker is gone for now (maybe we will reintroduce it later as a quality feature). Our tests and testing equipment has improved since then, the test equipment now includes a higher quality reflected-light microscope and a self-developed and built measuring device for needle compliance. The A/D converter for the EDP measurement has been improved and – rather incidentally – the laboratory lathe (Thorens TD126 MKIII & SME 3009 Serie 2) has also been renewed. Maybe this was not absolutely necessary, but we want to have fun, too…

The good news: the technical quality of the needles increases with every new delivery from Switzerland. The machines and codes are refined, the rubber compound seems to be improved, it will be good. At this point a hearty THANK YOU to Switzerland, you are great men of honour. What you have done for us here – simply great!

And also to you, dear “BLACK DIAMOND disciples”, a big thank you for your fairness and courage.
Many an eye was turned away if the molding was not perfect, skewed tubes during the break-in period were accepted and even if the delivery time was unexpectedly long. Of course, there were/are still considerable delivery bottlenecks and waiting times of up to a year.
