Description
Elac D 355 E | BLACK DIAMOND
This stylus has a high quality sound. The replica of analogis was made for the original needle Elac D 355 E in “nude version”. This means that the pickup tip (the diamond) sits directly in the needle tube without a socket and therefore plays lightly and with a lot of movement, which is particularly noticeable in the resolution of the high tones.
In contrast to the original needle this replica hangs very low. This is correct and should not make you nervous. However, if you plan to play back heavily warped records with it, we would rather recommend the Elac D 555 E | [ JC ]. This stylus is not recommended for ultra-lightweight tonearms due to its reduced needle compliance.
- Stylus cut: elliptical, nude
- Tracking force: approximately 1,5 – 2,1 g
Info | About the BLACK DIAMOND Series
These diamonds are made from a cut-to-length synthetic cuboid bar. Viewed under the microscope, you will hardly find an uglier diamond: the sides (not the cut!) are rough, the cut tends to be outside the center of the cuboid (off center cut) and the flanks appear unevenly long as a result. But if you then put the microscope on its side and close your eyes and just listen to the sound, you will see the true beauty of the BLACK DIAMOND series.
