Ceramic cartridges such as the VEB CS 24 should be connected directly to a line-level input. A phono input or an additional preamplifier is not required and should be avoided to ensure optimal sound quality.
*For mounting the cartridge in Ziphona Rubin and Solid models, a wedge adapter is required. The wedge on the original cartridge may be glued to the factory-installed system and usually cannot be removed without damage. This cartridge is supplied without the wedge adapter.*
