Super Easy Listening
The Ortofon Super OM 5E is the perfect cartridge for ambitious entry-level turntables. Thanks to the high series consistency that only a specialist like Ortofon can offer and that guarantees the rich, dynamic sound of the OM5E models, as well as with its uncomplicated handling and robust construction, frequent listeners and vinyl novices alike will be satisfied. In the Ortofon Super OM 5E, a modified generator compared to the Ortofon OM 5E makes the difference: for example, hollow pole pins reduce eddy current losses, which benefits phase linearity. Easy upgrade to higher-quality needle grinds (Ortofon Stylus 20, Ortofon Stylus 30, and Ortofon Stylus 40) by replacing the needle carrier. Like its smaller siblings, the Super OM 5 is also suitable for headshells that only allow the cartridge to be screwed in from below, such as those found on older Thorens turntables. So who says that listening to vinyl has to be expensive and complicated?
