Description
The new AT33xEN from Audio-Technica is a high-quality moving coil cartridge from the latest AT33x series, designed for demanding vinyl enthusiasts who value warm, detailed, and natural sound reproduction. As part of the comprehensive update of the renowned AT33 series, the AT33xEN delivers improved resonance control, high resolution, and exceptional musicality, especially throughout the midrange and lower frequencies.
Equipped with a nude elliptical stylus (0.3 × 0.7 mil) mounted on a tapered duralumin cantilever, the AT33xEN ensures precise groove tracking and clean, controlled high-frequency reproduction. The newly developed suspension system with piano wire further improves tracking performance while contributing to the cartridge’s rich and full-bodied sonic character.
The carefully engineered cartridge body combines die-cast zinc, aluminum, and high-rigidity polymer materials to effectively reduce unwanted resonances and achieve a balanced, natural sound without emphasizing specific frequency ranges.
Thanks to its proven dual moving coil design with dedicated PCOCC coils for the left and right channels, the AT33xEN offers excellent channel separation and exceptionally pure signal transmission. A powerful neodymium magnet combined with a Permendur yoke maximizes magnetic efficiency for dynamic, highly detailed analog playback.
Integrated threaded inserts make cartridge installation especially easy, particularly on integrated tonearms and headshells. Like all models in the AT33x series, the AT33xEN is hand-assembled and carefully finished in Japan.
