This stylus is a sonically high-quality reproduction by analogis for the original stylus Audio Technica ATN 110 E in a “naked” design. This means that the stylus tip (the diamond) is directly mounted in the needle tube without a frame, resulting in a light and responsive playback, particularly noticeable in the resolution of high frequencies.

These diamonds are manufactured from a cut synthetic rectangular rod. Under the microscope, you will hardly find a more unattractive diamond: the sides (not in the cut!) are rough, the cut is often off-center, and the facets may appear uneven in length. However, when you lay the microscope aside, close your eyes, and focus solely on the sound, you will recognize the true beauty of the BLACK DIAMOND series.
