Sony ND 200 E | BLACK DIAMOND
This stylus has a high quality sound. The replica of analogis was made for the original stylus Sony ND 200 E in “nude version”. This means that the diamond sits directly in the cantilever without a socket and therefore plays lightly and with a lot of movement, which is particularly noticeable in the resolution of the high tones.

Sound assessment:
Together with the Sony XL-200, the needle plays much more differentiated in the range of acoustic instruments and voice compared to the original stylus. The slightly inflated foundation due to the system seems more contoured without losing dominance.

These diamonds are made from a cut-to-length synthetic cuboid bar. Viewed under the microscope, you will hardly find an uglier diamond: the sides (not the cut!) are rough, the cut tends to be outside the center of the cuboid (off center cut) and the flanks appear unevenly long as a result. But if you then put the microscope on its side and close your eyes and just listen to the sound, you will see the true beauty of the BLACK DIAMOND series.
